Be Careful Out There!

The snowy and slippery weather is upon us and this means that the roads can be dangerous! Did you know that Halton Vision Therapy can help if you've been in a motor vehicle accident? Our office specializes in helping those affected by various conditions that can arise afterward. Sometimes after an accident, you may not realize that you're having symptoms because your adrenaline is so high; a few days, months, or even years later you can begin to experience dysfunctions in your vision, sleep dysfunctions, changes in mood and behaviour, nausea, dizziness, and an overall feeling of unwellness. Here's how we can help:
  1. The neuro-optometrist will assess you during a twenty-one point exam with a Vision Therapy Assessment.
  2. You will continue specific testing with a vision therapist that the doctor has recommended. This is called Visual Perception Testing
  3. Another test will be performed and it is called Visual Evoked Potential. Visual Evoked Potential or VEP is is a highly-advanced vision test that objectively measures how well your entire visual system is working. Our office is one of a few in Canada that has this equipment!
  4. The neuro-optometrist will discuss your results with you and provide a recommended treatment plan.
All of this can be done through an electronic system called Health Claims for Auto Insurance (HCAI) depending on your eligibility.

If you or someone you love has been in a motor vehicle accident (which includes being a pedestrian or being injured by a car even while it's not in motion, such as hitting your head on the trunk or door) please call our office at 905-319-1066 or email us at info@drfink.ca, to see how we can help.

"Remarkable center! Dr. Fink and her staff provided one-on-one care to my son who did a complete turnaround as a result of the carefully crafted program she designed for him. Can't thank Dr. Fink and her staff enough for going above and beyond."
We can't see when people are hurting on the inside, especially if everything looks fine on the outside. After a Motor Vehicle Accident, people can seem fine but have physical and emotional issues that are not visible, but very real. Let's be cognizant of this and kind.
VoxxLife Socks and wellness products are now available in our office! We have a large selection of different sizes and styles to choose from. Ask one of our doctors about which socks are best for you!
