SARG news
It's Yard Sale time!!!
SARG is in the middle of our first ever SPRING yard sale. The above picture is one of our youngest shoppers. She found a great deal on the prettiest dress ever! The upcoming dates in May are Thursday - Saturday - May 6,7,8; and May 13,14,15. Each day hours will be 9-1.  We are of course still taking donations. As many of you know, each week we put out more and more items. SARG has many generous donors and we are always so thankful to have a store full of great bargains.

This year it is even more important that we have a successful sale as we are unable, at the present time, to hold our annual Paws for Life Gala. We are hopeful to restart that in the fall or next spring. As soon as we know about those dates we will pass the word around.

For now our yard sale is our biggest fund raiser for all the outreach SARG does. We have been fortunate not to have to stop any of our community programs such as the pet food  for seniors, the pet food banks, the monthly free spay/neuter clinics and the rescuing and rehabilitation of our furry friends in need of a second chance.  This is all due to the generosity of all those that support SARG. My heartfelt thanks goes out to each and every one of you.

I also want to give a great big thanks to Dean's Restaurant! Everyone at Dean's is amazingly generous. Their opening day fund raiser for SARG was a fantastic success. Thank you also all who attended. It sure was some amazing food. I have missed the good home cooking from Dean's! I'll be going again soon.

A special shout out to Mr. John Mullens for the use of his building for our annual yard sale and for allowing us to store our yard sale equipment at that location! We couldn't have this event with out his support. 👏🏼

Rainbow Bridge
LeeLee, a sweet little dog adopted from SARG in 2018, recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge.  Her adopters Sharon and Donald Spellman gave her a good life.
Emma, 16-year-old tabby, was loved by her humans, Gary and Marsha Sega. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge on April 21.   She was a shelter rescue who was hanging on the front of the cage when Marsha went to the shelter to find a kitten.  For some reason, one of her eyes was closed which Marsha took as a sign since they had recently said goodbye to Kitty Little who had only one eye.  She tolerated a procession of SARG fosters but let them know immediately that she was the boss cat.  She contributed to veterinary medicine by participating in a clinical trial for a drug for renal failure.

Romeo, a sweet dog, was adopted by Denise and Tom Billings on February 28.  He unexpectedly crossed the Rainbow Bridge in late March.  Like the Billingses, the SARG family is heartbroken.  Romeo received several weeks of unconditional love--for that we are grateful.

Easter photos! Hannah isn’t suffering from resting grinch face in these photos so I was elated. I just love them so stinking much and couldn’t ask for better dog kiddos! Higgy still loves being outside and now that it is warmer, Hannah also enjoys it. They enjoy sitting at the top of the hill in the corner and watching everything while basking in the sun. Hannah is still sweet, baby Hannah who loves for me to hold her and sing to her in the morning. Thankfully she isn’t aware I'm a horrible singer. - Caiden Barcomb

I want to be one of these spoiled pooches! They sure are lucky. Have a GREAT summer Sweet Hannah and Higgy!!
