BRAWS helping families in need throughout Northern Virginia

In Fairfax County, families at Hayfield Secondary School had the opportunity to access menstrual supplies during a drive thru pantry this week.

In Loudoun County, students at Guilford Elementary School, Eagle Ridge Middle School, Sterling Middle School, Briar Woods High School, Park View High School
received 1,134 packages of pads and tampons (that's 23,130 units!!!) and 1,114 hip and cool and BRAND NEW sports bras and underwear this week!

Thanks to all who made this possible, especially the
Loudoun County Government CARES Act Fund!

Thanks to the Human Services Alliance of Greater Prince William, we were able to purchase 10,287 pairs of underwear for Prince William County residents. Many of the women and children we serve only own one pair! We are thrilled to gift them with at least 5-6 new pairs of underwear!

Action in Community Through Service (ACTS) will be distributing the underwear at their Dumphries location to families in crisis.

Here is what they had to say:

"This is what a shipment of 10,287 pairs of donated underwear looks like. Thank you BRAWS: Bringing Resources to Aid Women's Shelters for partnering with ACTS to provide our shelter residents and clients with new underwear. We are thrilled to receive this incredible support from BRAWS, who partners with registered organizations and schools to distribute new undergarments and unopened menstrual supplies."
