 PSBL Community Competition – Pet pics on Facebook
 
We hope you like the first week’s winner – beautiful windows with rainbow on Jedburg Road!  The £25 voucher is on its way to a young artist.
 
During the time when some of us have to self-isolate, and all of us are required to practice social distancing, pet owners have re-discovered the benefit of having a companion at home, to provide love, entertainment and friendship.
 
During this  week, we invite you to post the photo of your beloved pet to our Facebook page

The deadline is Thursday 21st May at 5pm. Feel free to get neighbours and family involved in your push for the Pet prize!
 
The winner will receive or £ 25 online voucher for Newham Bookshop, or £ 20 voucher of their choice.

 

Kindness at the Lockdown coffee morning - Thursday 21st May at 11am

Kindness is the theme of Mental Health Awareness Week (18-24 May), focusing on the power and potential of kindness. Our mental health is going to be central to us coping with and recovering from the coronavirus pandemic.  Join our coffee morning and let’s celebrate kindness - to ourselves, to and by others, by sharing stories and ideas!   Everyone welcome.

Sunflower seeds giveaway, for a sign of hope
During these uncertain times, gardening and growing is a peaceful, mindful activity that everyone can undertake even if they don't have a garden. We would love it if this summer South Plaistow explodes with sunflower blooms in people's front gardens, to symbolise hope, solidarity and togetherness. Will you help us?
