Wow, here's the second edition of my newsletter already. I'm an old pro. :-) Thank you for sticking with me.
I have some exciting news to share. My second novel, Blood & Holy Water, has hit the virtual shelves! I wanted to thank everyone that voted for me in my Kindle Scout campaign and those that volunteered to read & review an advanced reader copy. (Fifteen reviews are posted averaging a 4.8 star so far, but who’s bragging?) You’ve truly made this the best launch yet. (You can find this book on Amazon HERE for only 99 cents.)
Over 10 years ago, I had this idea of an incompetent angel who’s assigned a crabby vampire for her miracle. I wrote and rewrote the beginning of this novel back then, but couldn’t get past the dreaded middle. For some reason, Last summer I had the urge to finish Blood & Holy Water, and here it is, all finished and put together in a tidy package.

These characters have lived with me for way too long, and it's time I shared them with you. I want to make sure everyone gets a chance to meet Ava & Fin, so if you can't obtain the Kindle version or paperback from Amazon, let me know and I’ll take care of you. Simply reply to this email.

Planning a book launch is a huge endeavor, if you’re curious what it all takes, I blogged about it HERE. Maybe I over-planned this release, but you can only do it once. I've blogged about many other steps in this process. If you're curious, scroll down to the end of this email to my most recent blog posts.
In honor of releasing this book, I’ve redesigned the cover and specially priced Love, Lies & Clones at 99 cents for the next few weeks also. (On Amazon HERE.) The original idea for this story was “A Clone Love Story” but it took quite a different track…becoming more of a futuristic mystery/psychological thriller. (There’s still some clean romance hidden throughout.)

It’s about a woman (a clone named June) whose father is kidnapped. She can’t go to the police because his disappearance is linked to the illegal human cloning he participated in many years ago. Now, an AWOL soldier insists he can help, but June’s been taught her whole life not to trust anyone.

As I'm working on growing my reach/audience, I'm participating in some great promos with other authors trying to get all our names out there. If you're looking to meet some new authors, read some free or discounted books, or just want to help out the indie author community, take a peek here:

I'll be sending you another email next Friday. I have some more great things to share with you, a contest, and and update on the launch of Blood & Holy Water. I promise this won't become a habit, it's just book launch month and so much is going on. :-)

Until next time,

Love Reading? Here's more...

About me...

Hi, I’m Checkers. I’m that gorgeous Great Dane besides that crazy lady who thinks she’s an author. In reality, she’s a veterinary pharmacist who likes to dabble in creating new worlds while writing speculative fiction.

When I want to go for a walk, she’s always stuck behind her computer blogging about her writing journey, planning her next vacation (which means I get to go to a kennel and play with dogs much smaller than me), or reading another indie author’s story. Lucky for me, the house also has two kids and my owner’s husband to keep me busy.
