Christ is Risen! What a wonderful Holy Week and Triduum we had -- one of the best I can remember in my 8 years here. And how great it will be to continue the celebration of God's living power as Bishop Paul Lambert joins us this coming Monday evening the 25th at 6pm to ordain the Rev. Marisa Crofts to the priesthood. I hope you'll plan to be there; a reception will follow.
This Week's Highlights
Holy Week and Easter is the best time of the year, and in the Episcopal Church it truly takes all of us to make it happen. To all who read, sang, greeted, hosted, cooked, prayed, donated flowers, cleaned, polished, dressed the altar, officiated the Office, changed the hangings, and more -- praise God for your choice to  prioritize the life of the Church and give Christ your time and energy for the good of all of us. Thanks also to those who took part in Mass here for the first time in several months; we were thrilled to see you and hope you'll be back at the altar soon.

The Requiem Mass for Michael Fisher will take place at Emmanuel at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3rd. All are welcome to attend. A reception will follow in the Great Hall.

Have you ever wondered what work goes on behind the scene to ready Emmanuel’s Sacred Spaces for worship each week and each season?  You are invited for coffee and an information/training meeting in the Great Hall on Saturday May 7, 9:00-10:30 a.m. Contact Lori Dobrik, Craig Russell or Lynn Ryle with questions. Hope to see you there!

You're invited to our choirmaster's third DMA recital, Monday May 2nd at 4 p.m. Enjoy this afternoon of French chamber music, "Franck, Fables, and Fairytales," at Faith United Methodist Church or live-streamed on Facebook.

A reminder that Emmanuel  members can apply for scholarship aid for college, graduate, or seminary education until May 10th. Please contact the office for information.

Park Avenue at Randolph is closed for Ebertfest through sometime Sunday. You can still access the church lot via State Street.

Sunday 9 a.m.
Wednesday 12:15 p.m.

Weekdays 8 a.m. & 5:15 p.m.

Parish Calendar

IN A PASTORAL EMERGENCY - If you or a family member are in the hospital or have another personal emergency, please let the clergy know; they are ready to visit or assist. If the office is closed, please leave the information (including which hospital) in one of their personal office voicemail boxes or on a home phone. Emmanuel can also arrange to have meals provided; just ask!
Emmanuel's ministry staff seek health for both themselves and the parish culture by taking regular time off. MOTHER BETH is off on Fridays. MARISA CROFTS is off on Mondays. DEACON CHRIS is in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. Voice mail may be left in their boxes at any time.
The church office is open 9-12 weekday mornings, as well as by appointment. Our staff continue fulfilling their ministry responsibilities all day, including actively responding to email and phone messages.
