What a joy it was Monday night to gather with parishioners, visiting clergy, and special guests as Bishop Lambert ordained our curate who is now Mother Marisa. Her first Mass will be this Sunday, May 1st at
9 a.m. As May arrives, I hope you will also take time to read the May Messenger with its material about the gathering on May 7th, a possible summer Inquirers Class, and what would be needed for us to be able to return to two Masses on Sundays.
This Week's Highlights
MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR MICHAEL FISHER
The Requiem Mass for Michael Fisher will take place at Emmanuel at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3rd. If you would like to be part of the choir, the rehearsal is at 10 a.m.; please reach out to Choirmaster Nick Pothier for more information. We also want to give Mike's family the gift of a reception afterwards, which Lori Dobrik has graciously agreed to organize; if you will be at the funeral, please bring a sweet or savory ready to serve.  Also those who would be available to help set-up for the reception and/or clean-up following are asked to contact Lori Dobrik at 217-621-6649 or dobrik@msn.com.
