Dear Friends,

Today I was honored to be installed as the new Repblican National Committeeman for Kansas.  I am excited to serve my fellow Kansans in this new role and I look forward to working hard to bring conservative Kansas values to the Republican National Committee.

I look forward to working in Kansas to help Republican candidates rally support to win their local and state races.  Only by securing conservative victories locally, can we safeguard the cultural values and economic policies that keep Kansas strong and our nation the most innovative and productive in the world.

Kansas has held onto its conservative roots as evidenced by the fact that Republicans hold all statewide elected offices as well as a firm grasp on the two houses of our legislature.  I believe that Kansas has a lot of experience to share with other parts of our nation about achieving and maintaining conservative leadership. I look forward to helping our national party in its efforts to make similar gains in other states.

Please know that I am always available to discuss party matters whether local, state or federal.  I also welcome the opportunity to hear about how you think the GOP is doing: Both what we are doing right and how we might be able to improve in other areas.

I know you join me in seeking party unity heading into the November general election.  Now that the National Convention has concluded, we must all work hard to come together in support of the Trump/Pence ticket.  Our nation simply cannot allow or sustain another four or eight years of liberal leadership.  It is absolutely essential that we stop the leftward movement in so many areas from economic policies, cultural issues, international relations to even the very rule of law.

Lastly, I want to acknowledge the enormous contribution my predecessor has made to the GOP.  Todd Tiahrt served as a steadfast conservative in Congress for many years from the 4th District.  He continued to provide steady, conservative leadership inside the Republican Party organization most recently as the RNC Committeeman from Kansas.  His leadership and political acumen will be missed.  I am sure that like me, you too wish Todd and Vicki well and pray God’s blessing on the next chapter of their lives.

Thank you for allowing me to serve as your new Kansas National Committeeman.  I am excited and energized as I leave the National Convention later on today – ready to get to work!!

God bless,

Mark Kahrs
