Save the Date and Reserve Your Table Space for Our Annual Networking Party

Please mark your calendars for the updated date of our annual member appreciation and networking party from
5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14 at Highland Brewing.

This year's annual party will be a particularly special one as it marks the official roll out of our nonprofit's new name and logo as Green Built Alliance, as well as the debut of our brand new resource and membership website.

As always, this annual event also celebrates the release of our 2017 Green Building Directory, 25,000 copies of which are being printed this month and will begin being distributed at 100 spots across Western North Carolina in September.

Enjoy free food, live music from Franklin's Kite and a cash bar with a portion of proceeds coming back to our

APPALACHIAN OFFSETS: Join us at Block Off Biltmore for Concert to Support Isaac Dickson School Solar Project
Enjoy live music at a fundraiser to support the WNC Green Building Council and its Appalachian Offsets program later this month.

The next event in the 2017 WNC Solidarity Concert Series will support Appalachian Offsets' fundraising for the Isaac Dickson Elementary School solar system from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27 at The Block Off Biltmore at 39 S. Market St. in downtown Asheville.

The two-act concert will feature music by the Drayton Aldridge Quartet and the Ryan Barber Band. All musicians are generously donating their time so all proceeds from the suggested $10 door donation will go toward Appalachian Offsets' Isaac Dickson project.

Thanks to an anonymous donor, we have secured a matching grant of $110,000 toward the $220,000 we are raising. With nearly $9,000 in tax-deductible contributions toward the project in recent months, we have only $92,000 left to raise from the community.

Fifth Annual CiderFest NC

Tickets are now on sale for the fifth annual CiderFest NC from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 at Salvage Station.

You can be a part of our nonprofit's largest annual fundraiser by buying tickets to attend CiderFest as a guest or signing your company up to support as an event sponsor.

The fourth annual CiderFest in 2016 connected a record-setting 1,200 people with 15 cider, mead and apple wine makers offering nearly 50 different varieties of cider and mead. The 2017 event is expected to draw another sell-out crowd to sample sips from an even larger mix of local and national, small and large pourers. While sipping cider and mead, guests can enjoy samples of artisanal food, live music and performances, local arts and crafts, a kids zone, and more, all amid a breathtaking backdrop of fall colors beside the scenic French Broad River.
