YOUNGERMAN'S BARN: Grumbacher Award of Merit

Florida International Art Exhibition

Artist Carlos Alpha (Shiney) Moon was featured in The Alabama Art League's March–April 1953 issue of their official publication Alabama Artist.  Moon did not begin his career as an artist until 1944 when he accepted and invitation form Kelly Fitzpatrick to attend the Dixie Art Colony.  As a result of Fitzpatrick's influence, Moon's career quickly excelled.  However, Moon's promising career as an artist came to an abrupt end due to his untimely death in 1953.
