Plan to join us on Feb.15, 2017 to "Lunch & Learn" about the connection between the 1939 New York World's Fair and the Dixie Art Colony. Six Dixie Art Colony artists were selected for inclusion in fair art exhibition titled "American Art Today," The impressive exhibition, sponsored by IBM, included such well-known American artists as Thomas Hart Benton, Charles Burchfield, Edward Hopper, and Grant Wood.
Shown above is a detail of Lamar Dodd's Copper Hill.
Copper Hill was included in the 1939exhibition.
