Hi Friends,

Local Roots + Government Experience + Community Involvement =
Great Leadership Working For You

That's why I’m running for Martin County Commission District 1.

We’ve all heard the same old campaign slogans about how candidates are going to represent the people and be there for us.  Then what happens?  They get into office and they become the very politicians they claimed to dislike.

Whether its national politics, or the most important kind – local politics right here in Martin County – voters are tired of their elected officials not listening to them.  Being disconnected from the people who originally voted for them. Our voices are not being heard.

As a Town of Sewall’s Point Commissioner for the past 8 years, I have been a devoted public servant in the truest sense of the word.  Not a politician beholden to special interests.

How can I prove that to you?

Here’s something to consider.  Of the nine candidates running for the three County Commission seats, I am leading the pack with the most money raised and the highest number of individual donations.  And not multiple donations made through political action committees (PACS) like one of my opponents. Just look at my campaign contributors on the Martin County Supervisor of Elections website.

When PACs donate money they expect something from you. They expect you to behave in a certain way.  Vote in a certain way. That is not the public servant I am or ever will be.  I take my marching orders from no one – but I will listen to the concerns of everyone.  My moral compass will guide me.

And what about the “special interest groups” that will try to influence me?

Here they are:  the people who live here today, who are raising their families in Martin County and working hard to build a life for them; the folks who retired here to enjoy our piece of paradise; the citizens of Martin County who pay their taxes and want to see our government operate efficiently.

I am so encouraged by the incredible show of financial support combined with my ever growing grassroots volunteer base.  We need both to win this race.  As we enter the final three months of the campaign, I need your help getting to know as many people as possible.

When you finish reading this email would you simply click on the forward button and share it with five of your friends?  Encourage them to learn more about me and consider voting for me.

Election Day is not when the winner of this race will be decided.  It's decided when absentee voters cast their votes and mail them back to the Supervisor of Elections office.  Thousands of people will receive these Vote-by-Mail ballets at the end of July and make their decision then. There is no time to waste.  Please help me spread the word about my campaign.

Thank you in advance for helping me to expand my reach by introducing me to your friends, family and co-workers through this email.

Best regards,

Jacqui Thurlow-Lippisch
Republican Candidate for Martin County Commission, District 1
Town of Sewall's Point Commissioner, 2008-present

P.S.  My family has been in Martin County for over five decades and we’ve been part of the many inevitable changes that have shaped our community.  Now more than ever before in our history, we are in the fight of our lives to protect our quality of life from the poisoning of our river and the irreparable harm that is sure to come if the ill-conceived All Aboard Florida passenger rail project comes to fruition.  I will continue to fight passionately for permanent solutions and funding to restore the health of our river and I will continue to vigorously oppose All Aboard Florida and support the use of every legal and procedural tool available to protect our community from harm.
Here’s what’s happening with my campaign and around town this month:

The Palm City River Protest at the Palm City Bridge on Saturday, June 4.

Candidates Forum at IRSC's Wolf Technology Center on Thursday, June 9.

Public Meet & Greet at Kona Beach Cafe on Tuesday, June 21.
Would you like to help our grassroots campaign?
