“12.12 Golden Age Day” symbolises a new movement to engage millions of Golden Agers (45+ people who are ready-to-retire or retired) to become a powerful source of talent, creating a better future for young people and future generations.

Our vision is to develop Hong Kong into a Smart Ageing City. Every Golden Ager has his/her own inspiring story. Come and meet them, hear how they combine their accumulated skills, experience and wisdom to change our society for the better!

Community Business Conference 2016
 
Our Founder, Rebecca, was invited to be one of the guest speakers for the topic “Promoting Social Inclusion - The Role of Companies” at the Community Business Conference 2016 held on November 15. Rebecca stated the importance of creating new job opportunities for golden agers. She also shared our Foundation's goal in empowering Golden agers to be a new social force in Hong Kong and Asia.

2nd Anniversary of Hour of Code
 
Hour of Code is a campaign for people to try computer science for one hour. CityU Apps Lab is the leading force in Hong Kong to promote the value of coding education to the public. To celebrate the 2nd Anniversary of Hour of Code HK, a carnival in HKSTP Grand Hall, Phase 3 will be held from 11a.m. to 5p.m. on 4th December. There will be booths from different organizations, including GAF, to encourage people to take part in coding education. Free Admission.

“Women@Wan Chai 16/17: Self-reliance”
 
An event “Women@Wan Chai” will be held by Wan Chai Yin Ngai Society in January 2017. Our founder, Rebecca, was invited to give a speech on the social impact of Golden agers and how retired women can continue serving the community. Other programmes include Muay Thai demonstration for women, and other talks related to women. The event will be held from 3 to 5p.m. on 7th January, 2017 at Leighton Hill Community Hall.

The release of the final consultation paper on “Elderly Services Program Plan” (ESPP) gives us the chance to understand Hong Kong’s future elderly care policy direction. According to the government plan, this consultation paper, with 20 key recommendations proposed, will be discussed at each of the 18 district councils. The outcome of this round of consultation will determine what our elderly care policy will look like over the next 20-30 years.
