October rushed by in a blur of activity here at the Kansas Prevention Collaborative (KPC). On October 18th, we hosted PreventionWorKS in Topeka. Coalition members from all over the state came together to share their expertise and learn about the resources available to them. As always, it was amazing to see the dedication of these people to improve their communities.
October also saw the KPC partners working to prepare for the Kansas Prevention Collaborative Community Initiative (KPCCI) training taking place November 2-3. We've been working to optimize our web resources for newly funded coalitions so they have all they need to do the work in their communities.
As we move into November, we are preparing for the holidays and the strain they can have on people. We'll present the resources available to people throughout the holidays as well as sharing pointers for preventing any crisis situations.
Below you'll find some upcoming events and blogs that were important in October. As always, thank you for being our partners in prevention work.
