Dear <<First Name>>,
As you know, the brutality of early this morning was the greatest mass shooting in U.S. history and it was perpetrated against the LGBT+ community.
We stand with our Orlando extended family and against this abhorrent act of hateful violence.
Now is not the time to lash out, but rather a time to mourn the passing of many members of our community and honor their lives. It is time for us as a community to come together and stand in solidarity with one another and honor those lives that were lost. We need to keep them and their families close to our hearts and in our thoughts.
The Brooklyn Center will open its doors this coming Thursday, June 16th from 12pm to 8pm for anyone who would like to come to the Center to talk about and process this horrible act. Sarah Gauthier, the Center’s social worker and TGNC Group Leader will be available all day on Thursday to talk with anyone who needs it. If you feel that you need to talk sooner than this, please feel free to reach out to Sarah and she will make arrangements to meet with you or facilitate an appropriate linkage. Sarah can be reached at (347) 889-7719 or email@example.com.
In addition, there are several vigils and other activities. Please visit our Facebook page for up-to-date information.
We are a strong community of loving souls and we will get through this together.
Yours in community,
O: (347) 889-7719 x211
