In this article by Prof.Deon Rossouw, he explains that trees have the remarkable ability to absorb carbon dioxide and then release oxygen into the atmosphere. They thus have the ability to arrest the negative and convert it into something positive. It is exactly that ability that we also need to emulate when dealing with the social and ethical erosion in South Africa.

You are invited to view The Institute of Directors in South Africa (IoDSA’s) Social and Ethics Committee Forum's guidance paper on The Governance of Ethics - ethical culture oversight criteria for the Social and Ethics Committee. This guidance paper provides a taxonomy that outlines the most pertinent aspects of what an ethical culture is composed of. These can be used by governing bodies to oversee and assess the effectiveness of an organisation’s ethics management strategy and ethics management plan in a more practical manner, to achieve the establishment of an ethical culture.
SAJBM Special Collection:
Responsible Leadership in Emerging Economies, especially Africa
In response to the shortage of research that examines the understanding of responsible leadership in emerging economies, the South African Journal of Business Management (SAJBM) is launching a special collection on responsible leadership in emerging economies, especially in Africa. There is a public call on authors to participate in the special collection to be published in the SAJBM, published by AOSIS.

Ethics Officer Certification Programme
Our Ethics Officer Certification Programme is designed to equip ethics practitioners and ethics managers with the knowledge of how to institutionalise ethics in an organisation. We are currently the only organisation certifying individuals as Ethics Officers in South Africa and Africa.
