Dear Big Lifters,

Consider volunteering to help make a lasting difference for children and schools! Experience Corps, an intergenerational volunteer-based tutoring program, is looking for tutors, age 50+, to teach children to read.

With nearly half of students reading below grade level in San Mateo County, we have work to do. Volunteers are needed in K–3rd grade classes in South San Francisco, Daly City, Redwood City, and Atherton.

A winning volunteer experience is based on realistic expectations. What they require of you:
  • A desire to help young students succeed in school
  • A commitment of as little as 4 hours/week
  • High school/GED
  • Conversational English skills
  • Background check and TB test
Get involved today!
