ERO Review
We are looking forward to welcoming ERO on Monday 13 May. ERO (The Education Review Office) report directly to the Minister of Education.  ERO review looks at how our school reaches positive learning outcomes - knowledge, skills, attitude and habits - for our children. The reviewers are interested in what’s working well and where improvements can be made.
The ERO team will work with our school’s own evaluation processes. If you would like to talk with ERO they will be available to meet with parents on Wednesday 15 May between 9-10.00am at school. Please let us know if you would like to do this.
We will welcome our ERO review team with a Powhiri - Whakatau on Monday 13 May at 9.15am in our school hall. You are very welcome to join us.
Fundraising Gift
Thank you to Shannan Blanchet, one of our out-going Board members, who has a passion and gift for quilting. Shannan made this beautiful artwork using quilting, painting and dye. It is a copy of the artwork by Raewyn Harris. Have a look at the original painting and Shannan’s work.
Just devine.
Shannan has donated this work to the school to raffle for funds for our school library. Raffle tickets will be sent out next week. Each ticket will cost $2.00. The second prize is a $50.00 Count Down voucher.
Celebrating Success
Don’t forget each Friday at 12.00pm we hold our School Assembly. Students share their amazing learning, we learn songs, we celebrate successes and it’s all organised by our wonderful student leaders. Last week’s certificate award winners proudly accepted their awards.
