New Look for the Palmetto Planner

The SCAPA Executive Committee is kicking off a new layout and schedule for the Palmetto Planner!  As a SCAPA member, you will now receive bimonthly news with relevant, timely, and interactive content.  Not only do we want to share information with you via the Planner newsletter, but we also want to communicate with our members.  We encourage you to send feedback to us by email or social media (check out the links below).  We want to hear your suggestions for improving membership in SCAPA, planning success stories or struggles, or simply questions or topic suggestions to guide future content.  We hope you enjoy the new format!

South Carolina Planning Spotlight
Downtown Greenville, South Carolina has been at the epicenter of an urban revitalization for the last 20 years. With the right mix of public and private investment, it has become a beacon for growth and design in the upstate. In acknowledgement of this growth, and the design catalyst at its core, Greenville was recently awarded the Rudy Bruner Silver Medal Award for Urban Excellence.  This award served as a catalyst for Development Dichotomies – Concentrated Urban Renaissance and the Rest of the Community, a design forum hosted by the City of Greenville.  Read more about this interesting planning event here.
