Welcome to the Christmas edition of TE HARINUI

Across New Zealand, many churches are inviting friends, neighbours and workmates to hear the good news of Jesus. It's a great opportunity at Christmas. At Feilding Bible Chapel, which is our church family, we're in the midst of 'The Heart of Christmas'. This is a series where we are creatively exploring the gospel through the Christmas story each Sunday.

As we head into Christmas, I encourage you to pray for all of the churches around the country, as we seek to share something of God's extravagant love, seen in the coming of His Son.

From the board, Regional Enablers, and staff team have a fantastic Christmas and relaxing New Year.

GOOD NEWS #1: We have a National Administrator!
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Danielle Diprose as the new CCCNZ National Administrator. We truly sense the Lord’s good hand in this process.

Danielle and Hamish attended Lincoln Road Bible Chapel before moving to Cambridge where they and their boys fellowship at Raleigh Street Christian Centre.

Danielle comes from a chartered accountancy background and is experienced in serving churches, trusts and organisations within our movement.

As National Administrator, Danielle will build a team that will provide genuine resources, services and support to our churches and support ministries. This will include building a manual of up-to-date resources on Remuneration, Employment, Privacy, Sexual Abuse, Charities Compliance, Financial Reporting and Health and Safety. We think this will become an invaluable resource.

Danielle will also enable you to take advantage of the special deals, bulk buying, licensing, and membership arrangements. These will be available to churches, support ministries, trusts, pastors and ministry staff.

For a full description of Danielle's role, CLICK HERE.

Danielle will start in February and will be based in Cambridge.

GOOD NEWS #2: New Board Member appointed
In November, the CCCNZ Board ran an election process through Electionz.com. We had three excellent candidates for two board vacancies, with every church on Brethren.org being invited to vote.

We are delighted to let you know Murray Frost has been appointed to the CCCNZ Board. Murray is an elder at Rutland Street Church in Christchurch, is a trustee of Lakeland Camp in Queenstown, and is also a member of the Stewards Executive.

Murray is a charted professional engineer and is currently a senior principal in Jacobs. Murray is married to Christine and has two married children.

Graham Fletcher has been reappointed. Graham hails from Invercargill where he attends Rosedale Chapel. He is involved with the GC3 Board and continues to volunteer with Christian Books Melanesia (Papua New Guinea).

This is the first time we’ve done this. I think on reflection we will tweak a number of things to make the process both easier. If you’ve got any feedback, don’t hesitate to let me know: markgrace@cccnz.nz

SAD NEWS: Teri is finishing with the Office Team
Our wonderful Teri has done an outstanding job for us over 18 months as the CCCNZ Events Manager. Now she is leaving to take on a role in her local church. Teri has been a huge blessing to us (and many of you) through the events and activities she has organised across New Zealand.

Teri and Joel, we're going to really miss you here, but we know you’ll continue to make a significant contribution at Kingston Community Church in Palmerston North.

"Loved working with the CCCNZ team and look forward to watching them go from strength to strength. I think our family of churches will really come to enjoy and appreciate what CCCNZ is doing." TERI

We now have a vacancy at CCCNZ for the role of EVENTS MANAGER. For a full description of the role, CLICK here to go to the CCCNZ website
