In December, our students studied the mitzvah (commandment) of tzedakah through traditional and modern texts.
Each class has chosen an organization to support and will be hosting a booth at the Tzedakah Fair. Come hear about what each class has learned and support our students as they live out simcha shel mitzvah (the joy in doing a mitzvah).
All are welcome to attend.

Woody Allen’s bio of Virgil Starkwell, who goes from cellist in a marching band (that is not a misprint) to ridiculously unsuccessful criminal, is hailed as a masterpiece of silliness. Remember the illegible stickup note? In English, for a change.
Rated PG. 85 minutes PLUS: Road Runner cartoons!

The Two-Family House
by Lynda Cohen Loigman
This novel is about relationships in an extended family. Two brothers and their families live in the same duplex. The reviews talk about family secrets. Although the main secret is obvious to the reader, the character development, events, reactions are captivating. The story mostly takes place in Brooklyn and Long Island starting a few years after WWII. It is very interesting and easy to read.
This book is available through Interlibrary loan from more than 25 libraries in NH.
Literature Lovers usually meets at 7:00 pm the last Sunday of the month, unless otherwise noted. For location or more information, please contact Susan Cohen at (603) 643-3611, or sncohen037@gmail.com.
