The Two-Family House
by Lynda Cohen Loigman
This novel is about relationships in an extended family. Two brothers and their families live in the same duplex. The reviews talk about family secrets. Although the main secret is obvious to the reader, the character development, events, reactions are captivating. The story mostly takes place in Brooklyn and Long Island starting a few years after WWII. It is very interesting and easy to read.
This book is available through Inter-library loan from more than 25 libraries in NH.
Sunday, April 30, 2017 Little Failure by Gary Shteyngart
t
The book is a humorous memoir of what it was like to be uprooted as a child from the monochromatic world of USSR and plunked down in 1979 in the perplexing and gloriously Technicolor world of the U. S. of A. (NY Times).
Literature Lovers usually meets at 7:00 pm the last Sunday of the month, unless otherwise noted. For location or more information, please contact Susan Cohen at (603) 643-3611, or sncohen037@gmail.com.
