6 DAYS Left for the Chi DNA Crowdfunding Campaign!
We are in our final push of the Indiegogo campaign for the Chi DNA feature. We want this, and every SoapBox project, to be a community integrated and community amplifying. Please consider backing the project with whatever you are willing. A little bit, collectively, can go a long way. We appreciate you helping us make this happen.
The Chicago Drill and Activism (shorthand: Chi DNA) feature documentary and cross-platform, multi-media project explores the creation, meaning, perspectives, and connections between drill rap and the resurgence of grassroots activism since the early 2010s through the eyes of the people involved. More at Chi-DNA.com.
Listen to our affiliate podcast where we pair critical analyses of media, politics, culture, and everyday happenings with the tastiest bourbons and spirits.
Original Chi DNA interviewees, Ruby Pinto (left) and Charles Preston (right), talk to BrownTown about art in activism, drill rap, intersectionality, radical organizing in Chicago, and the current #NoCopAcademy fight.
