At this point, the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has impacted you in some way and has undoubtedly caused measurable harm across our global community.

Without getting into all of the details, this pandemic has shown the necessity for a strong social safety net and a full-fledged reimagining of how we prioritize resources and funding for people and the planet over profit and power. As we have heard familiar concerns and solutions to decarcerate jails, put a moratorium on rent/mortgages, and a universal basic income in mainstream conversations amidst our current crisis, we are reminded just how possible the world we want to see actually is.

Capitalism is a constant crisis, and our hope is that we come out of this stronger than how we came in. With that, take care of yourself, take care of each other, check-in with your communities, and amplify your vision for better future.

...and wash your hands.

As you know, many businesses, non-profits, especially artists and cultural creators have been financially hit by the pandemic. Unfortunately, SoapBox was not immune. Consider making a tax-deductible donation to support us and our broader community work towards a world we believe in and art that reflects that vision.
