Happy New Year from SoapBox!

As we begin 2019, we look back at our struggles, our successes, and our growth, not only as a organization but as part of an interconnected community working towards a more creative and equitable future. We Dumped Coghlan!

Last November, with the leadership of the Coalition to Dump Matt Coghlan and the Judicial Accountability PAC, Chicagoans voted out this deeply problematic judge, the first judge to be unseated in 28 years! As national pundits are still analyzing results from the fall midterms, Chicago looks forward to municipal elections on February 26, 2019. For voter information, visit

Fitness Against Fascism

2018 brought fundraising events like the "Fitness Against Fascism" series hosted at CrossTown Fitness. We paired an anti-oppressive, liberatory-minded, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout with a yoga session surrounding a community conversation about holistic health and challenging systems of oppression in our everyday life. Be on the lookout for the next event in the series and related work later this year!
