in the Presbytery of the Cascades

Wednesday  April 17
  • Portland St Andrews - Lenten Communion and Book Discussion   6:15 pm
Maundy Thursday, April 18
  • Albany UPC - Maundy Thursday Soup Supper with Communion 6:00 PM
  • Aloha   Reedville -  The traditional Seder with ritual foods commemorating the people’s flight from Egypt and delivery to freedom in the Promised Land is followed by a potluck supper.  6:30 PM
  • Covenant Presbyterian in Gresham -  Joint worship service with our four East County Presbyterian Churches on Maundy Thursday.Special guest is Cantor Baruch Morris from P’nai Or Jewish Renewal Congregation.  Baruch will share thoughts on Passover and lead us in singing some Hebrew Passover songs. 
  • Florence Presbyterian Church-Siuslaw – Seder Meal 6:30
  • Hilllsboro Presbyterian - Maundy Thursday Tenebrae Service 7pm
  • Hillsboro Orenco - Maundy Thursday: Dinner served between 6 & 7PM, provided by the Screamin Chicken in Gaston, OR Communion service at 7PM (communion by intinction.
  • Portland First  - Maundy Thursday, 7:30 pm
  • Portland Moreland – Maundy Thursday, 7 pm
  • Roseburg First - Maundy Thursday Service - “Meal in the Upper Room” at 6:30 p.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church. 
  • The Old Scotch Church -  Pondering  the Stations of the Cross in the front courtyard all week of Holy Week.
  • St.Helens Plymouth  - Worship Service April 18th at 6:00pm, followed by a light supper at 6:30pm.
Good Friday April 19
  • Portland Piedmont  - Noon Prayer Vigil
  • Beaverton Southminster  - Silent prayer vigil in the Sanctuary from 3 pm to 7:30 pm, followed by a Good Friday service from 7:30 pm to 8 pm
  • Eugene Central -   Tenbrae Service  7 pm. 
  • Grants Pass Bethany -  Ecumenical Service at St. Anne’s Catholic Church 7 pm. 
  • Milwaukie Pres. - Passover Seder on Good Friday @ Milwaukie Presbyterian Church, April 19, 6 p.m. Gather with our neighbors from the SE PDX Youth Collective and Milwaukie Lutheran for a meaningful evening service
  • Newberg  - Good Friday Prayer Retreat This spiritual retreat will start at 9:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary.  It will end at 12:30 p.m.  A light lunch will be provided.
  • Portland Mt. Tabor - We do a Good Friday Stations of the Cross service, with live music and guided meditation  Friday at 7 pm.
  • Portland Rose City Park – Noon to 5pm Meditation in the Sanctuary and Stations of the Cross Noon to 3 pm Walk the Labyrinth in the parlor. 
  • Roseburg  First - at 12:10 p.m.  Traditional Good Friday Readings and Music, April 19
  • Tigard Calvin  - Through scripture readings, hymns, and the gradual extinguishing of candles, we recount the passion, suffering and death of Jesus. A simple soup luncheon will follow in the Celebration Center
  • Vancouver First – Readings and Music by Choir  7 pm
Saturday April 20
  • Salem First – Easter Palooza 9:45 am  To help us track how many kids will be in each egg hunt & be able to split the groups that get too big. Our goal is that no kids leave the egg hunt empty handed. 
  • Milwaukie Oak Hills   Community Easter Egg Hunt on lawn  9 am
The Great Vigil of Easter—Saturday, April 20
  • Aloha   Reedville - This ancient service of Light, Word, Water, and Table draws us together into the story of salvation beginning in darkness and ending in joyful light. 7:30 pm
Easter Sunrise Services - April 20
  • Rev. Cynthia O'Brien is leading music and worship at the Community Easter Sunrise service at 7:00 a.m. at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm, 33814 S Meridian Rd, Woodburn
  • Albany UPC -  Easter Sunrise Service with First Christian Church 6:30 AM Timberlin Park
  • First Presbyterian North Bend will be leading an Ecumenical Easter Sunrise Service at Sunset Beach near Charleston, Oregon at 6:30am, rain or shine.”
  • Newport - We are having a sunrise service at the beach and having a baptism in the ocean as well as a recommitment of a baptismal covenant.  It's going to be cold but really cool!
  • Bandon - The ecumenical Bandon Ministerial Association faithful will once again gather on the Port of Bandon’s dock in the “Glass House” (see picture above) for a heart-felt service of praise to our Risen Lord “early in the morning”!
  • Menucha - Annual Easter Sunrise Service at  Menucha, 6:30 a.m. sponsored by Menucha and East Multnomah County Presbyterian Churches. Service held in Wright Hall with coffee and pastries served after the service.  
  • Portland Colonial Heights - Neighborhood and Metropolitan Community Church are sharing a common table  Easter Sunday.  Sunrise Service at 7 in the Washington Park Rose Garden, breakfast at 8:30 am at 2828 SE Stephens street & shared service at 10:30 am in the sanctuary.
  • Vancouver Cascades -  Sunrise service at 6 :30 am 
Easter Worship - April 21
  • Cottage Grove - Easter Breakfast, then worship (children decorate cross with flowers), Easter Egg Hunt.  Everyone, will put Origami butterflies on cross.
  • Lake Grove, Lake Oswego - Three identical services featuring a 100 person choir and members of the Oregon Symphony – 8:00, 9:30, 11:00. 
  • Milwaukee - Festive worship, at 10 a.m. Following worship, gather out back for Playground Dedication and Easter Egg Hunt. Hippity Hop race for grownups and Hot Cross Buns in the Fellowship Hall.
  • Prineville, Presbyterian: Easter Brunch before worship open to all.
  • Portland, Westminster - Worship at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., with a children's Easter egg hunt at 10:20 a.m. in the courtyard. Parking may be difficult on Easter, so please allow extra time.
  • Redmond, Community PC - You are invited to join our Easter celebration of the Risen Christ. We will have two service 9:00 am contemporary and 11:00 am traditional. We will host an Easter egg hunt between services at 10:15 am.
  • Trout Lake, First Presbyterian Church will engage in an intergenerational activity using Godly Play materials and small group discussion during the Easter Message. Worship begins at 10 AM.
  • West Linn, Emmanuel -  8:30 am Patio Service/Flowering of the Cross 9 am Breakfast, 10:30 am Worship
