Hello Eastlake LL Parents,
Our season is wrapping up, some of our divisions have a year end tournament, a home run derby and All Stars team announcements coming up. For some players it will be the BEST. WEEK. EVER. as they will win it all and for others it will be disappointing. Baseball and softball is a failure sport, the best professional batters fail more times than they succeed. While failure is challenging it can be used to teach young players about resiliency and supporting others. If you don't get a hit, a win or make a team this time it doesn't mean you won't next time. Please encourage your players to support their teammates and to keep trying. There are so many options to play ball.
More Options to Play Ball - We are not affiliated with the with non Little League organizations below. We are providing them for awareness for families in our community.
- Sammamish Little League Summer Ball - Summer ball is a fun and relaxed program that lets kids take advantage of nicer weather and continue playing the game they love during summer. The emphasis is all about HAVING FUN. The summer season will run during the month of July. Teams will play 8 evening games over a four-week season. It is open to all players, regardless of where they live or go to school.
- Summer Camps or Lessons
- Select Teams - Select teams are for players who want to play even more ball through out the year. These teams practice and play more, often travel to play, are more expensive, the organizations maybe for profit, they don't have minimum play rules, they are a bigger time commitment, and it can be more competitive. If it works for your player it can be super fun but it isn't for everyone. Try outs are typically in July. Here are some of the Select Organizations that Eastlake Little Leaguers play in:
- Wiffle Ball - Buy your player a Wiffle ball set or two. Send them outside to play with friends in your yard, cul-de-sac or close by park. They can have fun playing while they learn about organizing themselves and you don't have to drive them anywhere. Win-Win-Win!
- Eastlake Little League 2022 - Little League does NOT end at Majors. We have programs up to 16 years of age. We would love to see everyone next year.
Thank you so much!
