Hello Eastlake Little League Community,
Our 2021 Board is planning our safe and fun return to playing t-ball, softball and baseball this spring. We are very excited to get our kids back to playing ball. Registration will be opening in December but we wanted to share some updates with you.
Our number 1 priority is to keep our players and families safe. We will be following all rules and requirements that apply. King County is still in phase 2, however there are new Washington State Sporting Activities COVID-19 Requirements that will enable us to play. Of course, things can change but we are optimistic Little League will be back this spring.
We will be publishing our ELL Safety plan soon. We will also be hosting a Return to Play Information Session on December 10th at 7pm on Zoom. We will give a brief update on our plans and will have lots of time for any questions you have. If you have other families that are interested please invite them.
Volunteer and Junior Umpire Program - *new for 2021*
To keep our fees as low as possible and foster our community, this year ELL is looking for adult volunteer umpires and paid junior umpires (students) to ump AAA baseball and softball games. Our AAA rules have been adapted to help more with the transition from instructional to the competitive level, the focus is more on learning and fun. Free umpire training will be provided. If you want to start your training this month check out the Little League Umpiring Webinars.
With sufficient experience, there will also be opportunities to umpire at the Coast and Majors levels as well. With safety a major concern, there could be some changes to normal rules like standing behind the pitcher to maintain a safe social distance.
Please sign up for ELL Umpire Program or email our Umpire In Chief for more info.
Ball Play Sessions *new for 2021*
Is your child new to baseball/ softball? Did they play in the past but decide not to play for a season or so? Is your player on the fence about playing this season? Then this session is for you!
Come meet some of our coaches and let us show your kids how fun baseball and softball can be. We are excited to win you over and share our favorite pastime with you. Take a few swings, play catch, even field a few ground balls with us and let us show you the basics that our coaches will be teaching this spring. We will be available to answer any and all questions you may have as well.
Dates, Location and Sign up info will be shared soon.
Challenger Division *new for 2021*
The Challenger program enables children with special needs to play in a non-competitive baseball game with a supportive atmosphere where fun is the first priority. Any individual with a physical or intellectual challenge may participate.
The players socialize and improve their skills. Most players rely on a “buddy” to keep them interested and safe on the field. We are excited to have this opportunity to introduce baseball to our kids with an activity limitation. To learn more about the Challenger Division, click here.
Our goal is to keep fees as low as possible to enable as many players as possible to participate. T-ball fees will remain at $95 and our other divisions have a small increase of $20, however we lowered the late fee by $20, so most players will pay the same as previous years. We also are proud to offer the following discounts:
- Early Bird Discount - if you register by Dec 31
- Sibling Discounts - 20%
- Family Cap - $500 maximum per family.
- Financial Aid - is available and can be requested during the registration process.
