News from FIWARE Mexico

FIWARE Mexico was present at the 2nd FIWARE Summit in Utrecht

FIWARE Mexico participated in the FIWARE Mundus Committee that celebrated their first gathering in the context of the 2nd FIWARE Summit in Utrecht. The hottest topic was the presentation of the Mission Charter of FIWARE Mundus, recently submitted to the FIWARE Foundation. We also agreed on an action plan for the short term, encompassing objectives such as priority setting or dissemination strategy among others. In the afternoon session we gathered with other FIWARE Committees (iHubs, FIWARE Acceleration) and put in common the global strategy of the whole ecosystem for the coming months, where we will face exciting challenges spreading the FIWARE initiative to countries beyond Europe.

FIWARE Mexico successful Open Camp in Puerto Vallarta

Based on the Open Space Technology, the Open FIWARE Camp stimulated and fostered the generation of bilaterally collaborative projects and ideas for the take up of FIWARE technologies. More than 60 participated in this two-day workshop. Participants were satisfied about the turn out of this creative experience in solving the challenge: what are the societal challenges in health, energy, security and smart cities that can use FIWARE solutions despite the problems we know? The dynamic problem solving process stimulated the creative mind of all attendees. Many project ideas and creative solutions emerged during the discussions with good perspective for Mexico Europe collaboration.
