Park Maintenance Crew Leader Ruben Molina and Equipment Operator Edward Castillo replaced five worn out/missing danger signs throughout Palisades Park. There are 15 signs posted on the fencing along the bluffs to ensure the safety of park patrons.
A project to replace all decomposed granite (DG) pathways at Palisades Park is well underway. The work began in early December and is slated to be completed in early February. Park Maintenance Supervisor Miguel Ramos is overseeing the project.
Groundskeeper David Nuñez replanted and mulched the planters around the pond area at Reed Park in December. The planters are cut back and freshened up once a year as part of regular maintenance practices and to keep the plant material healthy.
Maintenance Worker Timothy Gaffny removed graffiti near a beach restroom in late December. The work took several hours to complete.
