What does Continuing Hope look like?
here's a testimony from one of our partnering churches...
“Kirkwood’s Continuing Hope – December 2021
Despite Covid and our sanctuary renovation project, our partnership with Hope4Communities has provided our church with a blessed and unifying focus in 2021. Participating in Kirkwood’s Day4Hope stirred our giving spirit and moved us to do more. The Tuesday before Thanksgiving 20 of our Day4Hope families were invited to come back to our church to pick up Publix turkey dinners. Additionally, we started collecting $25 Walmart or Target gift cards to help some of the Day4Hope families with Christmas shopping. Together with Sea Breeze Elementary School, we coordinated invitations to 35 families inviting them to return to Kirkwood on December 15th, to receive $50 in gift cards per child, blessing 70 children for Christmas. We were touched by their honest gratitude and joy; and we loved that we were able to share Christ’s love with families that our church family has been praying for all year! God finds each of us right where we are and shows us His grace in ways He knows we need to experience! God is leading our hearts into a new year. Happy New Year friends! “

As she was leaving the make-shift portrait studio, the mother turned to our photographer and handed her a note. Then she and her daughter left the studio, hugging and smiling with a bag full of basic personal care items and school supplies, to return to the vehicle they had been living in for the past few weeks. Carefully, I unfolded the handwritten note.
“Thank you so much for the first photo EVER of my daughter and I!”  That alone hit our heartstrings, but it continued…“ I was recently diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.  BUT, I am forever thankful that my daughter will have this photo of us as a precious memory.”

This grateful mother and daughter were attending a Hope 4 Communities “Days 4 Hope” event, which provides homeless and at-risk children and their families with everything they need to begin the first day of school with dignity. That day was a first family portrait. We have provided many other firsts as well; first new backpack, first haircut, first dental exam, first pair of new shoes, and the list goes on. In 13 years, we served more than 22,793 vulnerable youth in Sarasota and Manatee counties.

Hope 4 Communities is powered by volunteers and donors much like you. We work all year to prepare and organize ”Days 4 Hope” events. If you are able, please join me in supporting our most vulnerable children by becoming a “Champion 4 Hope.” Your recurring gift will provide critical funds to our community’s children.

There is no better time than right now to become a “Champion 4 Hope”. Two generous philanthropists will match your first month’s gift (applies to NEW monthly and annual donations) up to $10,000 each. That means a $100 monthly gift become a $300 gift the first month. Your generosity will be TRIPLED. Simply visit to help us meet this challenge.

Thank you for your kind consideration of this urgent request. By becoming a “Champion 4 Hope” you can provide the most basic of needs to hundreds of homeless and underserved children living right here in our community.

With gratitude,
I want to be a Champion4Hope!
We have seen God move in mighty ways with our Day4Hope weekends this year.
 We served:
 3,051 students at 20 campuses!

What will he do next year? How many more churches will we be adding? How many more kids will we be able to serve?
