Year 9 Te Iti o Haua Marae Noho
The Year 9 Te Iti o Haua Marae Noho are now in full swing each week at Tauwhare. Students spend 2 days engaged in activities including harakeke (flax weaving), koauau (clay instrument) making, poi making, haka practice and food preparation. The marae noho provides an opportunity for students not only to engage with some aspects of Te Ao and Tikanga Māori but also an opportunity for students to get to know their form classes and the senior leaders better. Family members support the trip by attending the pōwhiri and hakari on the second evening.
Year 10 Camp
The 5th and final Year 10 Camp for 2017 was held this week at Ngatuhoa Lodge in the Kaimai ranges with an enthusiastic group of staff and students. Two or three form classes spend a week hiking, abseiling, swimming, rafting, kayaking, riding flying fox, conquering commando courses, together with a multitude of other exciting team building activities.

Dropping lunches & items off at school office
As you will appreciate the school office is the hub of the school, and extremely busy most of the time. Whilst every endeavour is taken to get students to pick up lunches/items from the office, we cannot guarantee that this happens.

Please ensure that you let your child know to collect the item. If this is not possible staff will send a message to your child’s class. However, if the student does not make their way to student services to collect the item it will NOT be delivered.
