Dear <<First Name>>,
There are so many ways to talk about God that we can't limit ourselves to just one. That's why we begin with at least three: God, Jesus and Spirit.
This week is Trinity Sunday, when we reflect on the mystery and multiplicity of God, who is known to us in more and broader ways than we can imagine. Our scripture passage will be from 2 Corinthians, a Trinitarian blessing you here me say most Sundays: "may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you now and always."
I've been studying the history of our American International Church and the Whitefield Memorial Church which occupied this site since 1756, and I marvel at how those three attributes of the Trinity--grace, love and fellowship--have marked ministry in this place for more than three centuries, and embody our mission today.
Join us on Sunday to learn more, and see ourselves as part of the Divine Three-In-One's ongoing presence as Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer, shining forth in us with grace, love and fellowship.
