Dear <<First Name>>,

The lifting of lockdown restrictions here in the UK has opened up new possibilities for gathering. For months, the only way to see others was to take a walk (or run) together. Now, we are at last allowed to gather at tables, outdoors, for a meal with up to five other people.

This movement bears a striking similarity to the Gospel story this week. Two disciples are walking on the road to Emmaus when they are joined by a stranger. They talk and talk, but it is only when they sit down at the table that they are able to see one another clearly. They recognise that it is the risen Christ who has walked and talked with them!

The lifting of lockdown will also allow us to gather again in person for worship, to sit together with one another and the presence of the risen Christ in our sanctuary. Preregistration, masks and distancing are required; singing and socialising indoors remain off limits, but we can be together.

Whether you join us in person or online,  we pray you find a way to walk and talk and sit at table with others and with Christ this week.

In-Person Worship Resumes!

For the first time since Christmas Eve, we will be able to gather for worship in-person again this Sunday, April 18!

The guidance for Places of Worship requires similar practices to those we implemented in  September and October. Pre-registration, social distancing and masks will be required, and there will be no singing, apart from a soloist, and no socialising indoors.

We will maintain our YouTube services in their current format at least through the month of June, for those not ready to return to gatherings. Online worship will continue after that time, but the format and timing may shift.

As the COVID restrictions begin to relax, we hope to add fellowship gatherings, choir and congregational singing again, but it is too early to announce a date for those activities to resume.

We look forward to welcoming those who are ready back into worship in the sanctuary! Sign up below.
