Dear <<First Name>>,

January lockdown days are cold, gray and dreary. The news goes from bad to worse, and it can be hard to find focus, energy and delight.

Jesus tells his disciples (us) to be salt of the earth and light of the world--a source and sign of God's goodness and love in the world. Throughout the next few weeks, we will be reflecting on how we can be salt and light for others.

But for starters, we need to be reminded of God's goodness and love, especially in these weary days. The invitation to be a disciple of Jesus is an enthusiastic, "come and see!" In modern parlance, we'd say, "you've gotta see this!"

On Sunday, be reminded of the goodness and love of God. You've gotta see this. Come delight in God.

Pastor Jennifer
