Dear <<First Name>>,

Merry Christmas and many blessings! Christmas Day has passed, but we are still in the season of Christmas until we celebrate the arrival of the magi (or "wise men") on Epiphany. I pray that this season has sparked your awareness of God's presence as you have celebrated the Word made flesh at Christ's birth. And I hope that you've also seen and heard the presence of God in the familiar carols, the sparkling lights, the stories of generosity, and the smiles of family and strangers alike.

This Sunday we will mark Epiphany together and we will join with the magi in searching for Jesus, trying to follow the stars that might lead us there once again. I hope that you will join us in person or online to begin a new year by looking ahead to where God will meet you along the way.

With the news that no new COVID restrictions will be imposed before the end of the year, our plans remain unchanged to gather BOTH onsite and online for the coming weeks. However, we still urge your own caution and personal risk assessment alongside conducting a home lateral flow test before attending services in person. We do not provide proof of a negative test, but ask you to please take this step to protect the vulnerable among us. All our other safety protocols remain in place, as you can see in detail below.

Whether you can join us in the sanctuary, on Sunday morning via livestream, or any other time on YouTube, we wish you a happy New Year and look forward to joining you in worship and prayer.

As always, your ministry team is here to support you and offer prayer and assistance the best we can. Should you find yourself isolating or in need as more of our neighbours are testing positive, please reach out to us. Our contact details are below.

Attend Onsite -- COVID Updates

We encourage each of you to consider your own personal risk in deciding to come to worship, especially in light of the increased transmission of the Omicron variant.

We require:
  • Everyone to wear a face covering at all times indoors.
  • Everyone to use hand sanitizer upon arrival.
  • Anyone with COVID symptoms to stay home.
We strongly encourage:
  • Everyone to take a home lateral flow test (free from the NHS) prior to coming to worship. (Our ministry team already does this.)
  • Everyone to get their vaccines and boosters as soon as possible.
  • Everyone to avoid socializing indoors, chatting instead outside before and after the worship service.
Please note: the sanctuary will not open until 15 minutes prior to the start of the service, to allow ventilation between choir rehearsal and worship.
Attend Online -- New options!

Livestreaming now available!
  • Sunday morning worship will be available to livestream via our YouTube channel. A link will also be posted to our Facebook page.
  • Livestream will begin at the same time as the onsite service (11:00 GMT on Sunday morning).
  • Unlike our regular videos, the livestream will only offer the camera angle from the balcony, and will not include the words for prayers and scriptures.
Post-Worship Videos continue on YouTube.
  • For those who are in other time zones, traveling or looking to catch up from a missed Sunday, our shorter-form online videos will continue to be edited and posted in the new year.
  • These edited versions of worship will keep their shorter format, with camera angles that allow you to see faces of worship leaders more closely and the words of scripture and prayer on the screen.
The livestream version will remain available until the edited post-worship version is available, after which it will be removed.

This is our current plan through January 15, though we will adjust sooner if restrictions are imposed.

Christmas Bach Cantata from 26 December
Available through January, then will be removed in agreement with our guest musicians.
Year-End Gifts and 2022 Pledges

We are reaching the end of our fiscal year, and facing a deficit. At the same time, we are planning our ministry for 2022. Can you help us with a year-end gift for 2021, and a commitment to give in 2022?

You can read more in letters from Assistant Treasurer Serge Ramin and Pastor Jennifer, sent in recent weeks. Make a 2022 commitment via this link.
Giving: Your generosity matters more than ever.

This year remains difficult in many ways, and we ask you, if you are able, to consider making a gift to keep our ministries thriving.

You may give via bank transfer with the following information:
