Dear <<First Name>>,
As we transition from August into September and from summer into autumn, the life of the church, much like many of yours, gets a bit of a jolt. On Sunday, that jolt will come as we welcome our choir back into worship after a well-deserved break. Rehearsal starts at 10am, and all singer-new and returning-are encouraged to join.
The transition of seasons also means that many of us are trying to settle back into big city life after being out of London. We will be hearing a thoughtful message from one of our mission partners, Oli Smith on how immersing ourselves in the Christian promise of love, hope and grace can become a way of shielding ourselves from believing the bombardment of targeted advertising and negative messaging that is part and parcel with living in a big city.
After worship, we will continue our fellowship together by travelling back to Walthamstow with Oli and his family in order to prep their community garden for a fall planting. All ages and levels of garden experience are welcome.
Whether you are seeking that rejuvenating jolt from the return of the choir, a message of reassurance in the face of city life or an opportunity to give back in service to the community, you are welcomed back into the life of the church and into communion with God.
