Dear <<First Name>>,
Most of the news is bad--violence, political squabbles, economic struggles, injustice and more. Whether it's the television, newspaper, radio or social media, it feels like there is a relentless stream of bad news.
While the technology has changed, that part of human experience has been true since biblical days. That's why Jesus himself and his message of grace and salvation are themselves called "good news." That's what the word Gospel means--"good news."
So if you feel like you could use some good news in your life, I know where you can find some. Here, on Sunday morning, where the story of Jesus is told and retold, to offer that grace and salvation over and over again to any and all who seek it.
This Sunday, Oli Smith will be with us to preach about this good news, accompanied by special music from our AIC choir, handbell choir and violinist Anne Beitel, all of which will lift our spirits with the good news of Christ.
