Dear <<First Name>>,
Last week, we contemplated how we "stay salty" with prayer and gratitude to be salt of the earth. This week, we turn to Jesus' call to be "light for the world."
I am reminded of that Debby Boone song from the 1970's, "You Light Up My Life." Whether you think it's romantic, cheesy or just old, the song reminds us that certain people radiate energy and joy just by being present in our lives. When Jesus calls us to be the light of the world, it's an invitation to light up the lives of others with love.
How do we do that? How do we become that? Is it the same as being happy all the time? Does it mean darkness is bad? (Spoiler: NO and NO.) If you are looking for light in your life and want to be light to others, tune in to worship this Sunday.
Faithfully,
Pastor Jennifer
