Dear <<First Name>>,

The daily news cycle reports more bad news every day. Uncertainty over Brexit, government and corporate shutdowns, violence, crime and people crushed under poverty.

This Sunday, we will hear from Jesus' first sermon, where he promised to bring good news. He promised that his life and his message would especially bring good news to those usually hit hardest by bad news--the poor, the prisoner, the disabled.

The good news of Jesus is not the same as a feel-good story, heart-warming or cute or charming. The good news of Jesus is the substance of God's love that cuts through all the bad news of the world with the power of grace and hope.

I don't know about you, but I need some of that good news, every week. Join us Sunday if you do too.

Pastor Jennifer

                           Special Guest -- February 10
On Sunday, February 10, author Kate Nicholas will be our guest preacher. Friend of AIC member Zena Martin, Kate is the former head of global communications for World Vision. After a life-changing diagnosis and healing from stage 4 cancer, Kate is now on a journey toward ordination as a priest in the Church of England. She will bring a message about the power of healing, trust and transformation by God's power. Her book Sea Changed, published in 2016 and now the subject of a TV series on TBN, tells her amazing story. Don't miss her in worship on February 10.
Giving to AIC in 2019
God is up to something at our church right now. There is an energy and excitement about the Spirit calling us to new and greater ministries.

If you have already responded the invitation to support this work by making a giving commitment to the American International Church in 2019, THANK YOU.

Thanks to those who have already made a pledge, we are two-thirds of the way to our ambitious goal--a goal that would allow us to increase our staff to maintain a full-time position for community ministry while hiring another minister for children, youth and families.

If you have not yet made a commitment for 2019, we still need your help to reach our goal. We want to make it a little bit easier. You can simply click on this link to submit an online pledge form.

The Council will need to make plans for our 2019 staffing and budget early in the new year, and we need to know we can count on your support to grow the ministry of the American International Church.

Thank you for your faithful support, in sharing your time, talent and treasure.

Pavement works have now started in earnest on Tottenham Court Road as a part of Camden's West End Project. Through access will be maintained during the works, but partial lane closures and periodic parking suspensions may be in effect. If you normally drive to the church, be prepared to factor this into your journey times. If you take the bus, check to make sure there are no diversions or changes.
