Dear <<First Name>>,
The Gospel tells a strange story about Jesus and his disciples out on a boat in the Sea of Galilee. A storm arises, and they fear for their lives--all except Jesus, who sleeps soundly through the whole thing.
Metaphorically, this story rings true for many of us. When life gets stormy and we feel tempest-tossed and afraid, we wonder if God is asleep, not caring about our distress and concern.
The story concludes in dramatic fashion. Jesus wakes up and speaks into the winds and rains, demanding "Peace! Be still!" The disciples are amazed by his power.
How can we trust that God will speak to calm our storms? How can we have faith that God's power will see us through?
Whether you are in the midst of a storm now or have ever been, join us on Sunday to seek God's presence in all of it.
