Barrhead High School Senior Recruitment Event

Barrhead High School Senior Recruitment Event was a great opportunity for young people to speak with a variety of employers regarding their current role within the organisation and also the pathway they had taken to achieve this success. The purpose of the event was to help pupils develop their understanding of the skills required in the different stages of the recruitment process.

The S4-S6 pupils selected from 12 employer led sessions included representation from a diverse cross section of industry including the financial, retail and childcare sectors. Barrhead High School will be developing their senior phase PSHE curriculum following pupil’s evaluation of the event to include more work on specific aspects of recruitment that the young people wanted to learn about, including competency based questions and using the STAR technique.

Congratulations to Barrhead High School for the coordination of this inspiring event and thank you to the employers who gave their time on the day!
