Walnut Creek Surf announces new partnership with Cogeo!

Walnut Creek Surf Soccer Club is excited to announce a new partnership with Cogeo, a nationally respected consulting firm, to create a successful fundraising strategy in 2021 and beyond.  Cogeo is a consulting firm that specializes in non-profit organizations.  Our club is ready to explore and execute on several fundraising initiatives in the near future, and with Cogeo's knowledge and guidance, we have a great firm to work with to achieve our fundraising goals.

Club President Brad Bowles has this to say, "The Walnut Creek Soccer Club was founded in 1971 as a small youth community-based soccer club.  As we have grown during the past 50 years (now to a Club of nearly 2900 children) we continue to look for ways to develop the Club and serve our membership.   Partnering with a nationally known and respected firm like Cogeo, will enable the Club to grow and provide new and exciting opportunities for not only Walnut Creek Surf Soccer Club but the entire community."

Over the next few weeks, we will be updating our Club's membership on the fundraising initiatives, campaigns and how to become more involved with our efforts.

Recreation Program News and Notes:

We are preparing for a 2021 recreation season to be played in the fall.  We know that the Covid-19 pandemic is ongoing, but if we're able to play safely, we want to provide a league season for our recreation program.  Club operations and our Recreation Committee, led by our new Recreation Coordinator, Obaid Mohammadi, is busy working on the program rollout.  This includes a probable spring registration start date and Covid-19 refund policy if we have to delay or cancel the season.  More updates to follow via this club newsletter, web site and social media channels.

Our competitive program has a few changes to also announce.  Many thanks to Scott Stanko for fulfilling the role as our Competitive Program Coordinator the past several years.  His willingness to serve, guide and help wherever needed is much appreciated and respected.  Thank you, Scott.

We would like to welcome our new Competitive Program Coordinator, Larisa Raymundo! no stranger to the soccer world, former high level player and coach herself, Larisa will jump right into the role and we look forward to her leadership and guidance of our competitive program.  She can be contacted at for any competitive program general questions.
