The coronavirus (COVID-19) is on all of our minds given the seriousness of the outbreak world wide. The amount of information we’re all receiving via media, school districts and employers has been consistent and helpful. Our club would like you to know we are updating our coaching staff on the very same precautions, prevention and awareness that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is providing, including resources from the national soccer coaching organizations and other valuable resources specific to the coronavirus outbreak.
We will continue to monitor and update our club with any new updates from our soccer governing bodies such as NorCal Premier, US Club Soccer, US Soccer as they are received.
At this time, we are sharing with you this recent notification from the United Soccer Coaches Association, which was provided to our coaching staff earlier this week. We will continue to update and educate our coaching staff with all available resources, and make suggestions to our teams like:
Stay home if you are sick - be sure to inform your coach.
Use fist bumps rather than handshakes.
At team breaks, use an “air break on 3” rather than bringing all hands/faces into a close circle.
Attach hand sanitizer to your players bag and use before & after practice.
