Each June we focus on men's health. It's an important topic because, while considered the stronger of the sexes, the fact is that men are losing the longevity battle.
According to author and health advocate Jonny Bowden, as of 2017, women are living 5 years longer than men. More than half of all women over 65 in America are widows, outnumbering widowers 3:1. Among centenarians, there are four women for every man. And men typically experience their first heart attack at age 65, while women at 72.
And though there can be many reasons for the decline of men's health, according to Bowden, there are five things that can have a positive impact:
