We Live in a 15-Minute Neighbourhood!

By Tim Schaefer, Sunnyside Resident

The 15-Minute City is an urban design concept where most of your daily activities can be accomplished within a 15 min human-powered journey from your home.

This concept has been around for some time but in recent years it has received more attention after the mayor of Paris moved the 15 min approach to the forefront in that city’s urban plan.  Other cities, including Edmonton, have also adopted the 15 min approach with the motivation to make more vibrant and liveable cities where people are less dependent on cars.

They're back! The goal of this short survey is to gather information to better understand the impacts of the pandemic on Calgary businesses. The feedback collected will be analyzed by the Business and Local Economy team and then be shared with the Business Advisory Committee Task Force and the City of Calgary Covid Strike Team for further conversation. This is not a scientific survey and is intended to provide a “point in time” snapshot that can help guide our approach to decision-making. The survey close is April 22, 2022.
If you have any questions about this survey, please contact Erin Chrusch at erin.chrusch@calgary.ca or Mike Sauvé at michael.sauve@calgary.ca.
