A lot of exciting things happened this last quarter: in February, we were very happy to participate in Rare Disease Day, a worldwide event that raises awareness for rare disorders.

Besides some cosmetic improvements, we have a new donation page for the many of you who wanted to support our gene therapy research and help us move our programs faster towards the clinic.

In March, we attended the annual Celtic Connection event to support the Alpha-1 Foundation, and this year Dr Mueller was recognized for his work on alpha-one research! Needless to say, we are beyond thrilled by the award and so grateful to the Alpha-1 Foundation for this honor.

Finally, we published our work on gene therapy for SOD1-linked ALS! With very promising results in ALS mice and in monkeys, we are more motivated than ever to get this to the clinic and #DefeatALS!
