Version 20.2 was designed with reopening in mind.

Version 20.2 has been released as stable and includes several new features, 
including Mass Email, that were designed to help as you ramp up your practice with different processes in place.

New Feature Highlights

New Features in Stable Version 20.2 include the following.

New eServices Features
  • Mass Email: Create your templates, generate a list, then email your patients, all through the software.
  • The Arrivals eService, designed with COVID in mind, allows patients to check-in from outside the practice when they arrive using text messages to help you manage the number of patients in the waiting room.
  • Open Dental Mobile eService and App: All the features from Open Dental Mobile plus 2-way texting and e-prescribing with DoseSpot access, all from your mobile device.
  • HTML Raw editing is available for eServices emails.
New Security Features 
  • The Payment Create permission now has a date limitation. This is to prevent backdating payments.
  • In Global Security Settings, there is a new preference for Users cannot edit their own timecard except current pay period. This allows users to edit their current information, without making historical changes.
  • In Global Security Settings, a new setting for Maintain selected patient when changing users will keep the selected patient as users log off/log on.
Other New Features
  • The new Set Order button in the Fee Schedules window can help organize your fee schedules more easily.

In Beta Version 20.3
  • Bluebook feature
  • CareCredit integration is available now to Beta users.
  • A new tool to allow patients to fill out forms sent to eClipboard on their own devices (available to Beta users in late August).
  • Web Sched Existing Patient (online scheduling of emergency treatment for existing patients)
  • The Appointments Module will have a new toolbar with all your favorite tools, from appointments lists to the buttons used to make and view patient appointments. This makes tool access on this page more consistent with how things appear in other parts of the software. See the comparison below.
