February 2019 Volunteer Newsletter
Como Park Falcon Heights Living at Home Block Nurse Program
Our Mission: We are a non-profit serving our neighbors aged 65 years and better, by organizing supportive services, respite for caregivers and the compassion of volunteers.
February is here! I hope you all stayed warm and safe last week when the super cold weather came through. Also, I am thrilled to be serving as the Volunteer & Services coordinator here at the Como Park/Falcon Heights Living at Home Block Nurse Program. I joined the team last August and have had the chance to meet many of you--others I look forward to connecting with soon. Thank you for all the gifts and talents that you share with our program!

It takes a person of great heart to see the wisdom the elders have to offer, and so serve them out of gratitude for the life they have passed on to us.

We have many new clients who are interested in being matched with a volunteer, and so if you have a neighbor or friend who would like to share their time and talents with our program please reach out to me!
Your time and friendship means so much to the seniors in our neighborhood.
Thank you to all our volunteers.
 Please report your volunteer time!
Please send in your hours for January. Submitting your volunteer activity hours each month is appreciated. It is so important for us to know all about the good work you are doing. Our volunteers are "inspiring", "compassionate" and "a blessing". That is how your senior partners are describing their time with you this quarter.
The Living at Home Block Nurse model is a unique and effective model of care for senior's living in the home and community the love as they age. It is successful because of thoughtful, caring neighbors that come forward to volunteer. If you have any questions about your relationship with your senior partner, please contact Nichole coordinator@comobnp.org and thank you for all your caring.
Our Mission: We are a non-profit serving neighbors aged 65 years and better, by organizing supportive services, respite for caregivers, and the compassion you, our volunteers.
