You show your humanity by how you see yourself not as apart from others, but from your connection to others.
~ Desmond Tutu

During these days of social distancing, quarantine, and global change, the value of community and the importance of relationships has never seemed clearer. I have such gratitude for the creative solutions, dynamic projects, and energetic individuals coming together in countless ways to nurture and build community, keeping us all connected in heart and action.

Giving back, learning, amplifying others, sharing the stage, taking risks... these are the things that have kept my heart open and head up. Thank you for every thing that you have done - we are stronger together.

A portion of every sale is always donated to organizations that focus on environmental justice, conservation and access.

One of my very favorite things is the communication with collectors that surrounds their purchase of a special piece of artwork. I absolutely love hearing about the reason for their selection and answering their questions. In the interest of growing this special community I have updated my website to include a purchasing option. Click here to  view and purchase work directly from my website.

The Creative Advantage is a city-wide initiative to establish equitable access to arts education for each and every student in Seattle Public Schools. I was fortunate to be a part of Creative Advantage Online Arts (CAOA) swift response to COVID-19 in support of students and families during school closures, as well as teaching artists, like myself, who had previously been contracted to lead school day residencies. CAOA represents a vast array of arts learning videos for arts students of all ages. Click on this link to see videos from me and a wide array of diverse teaching artists.
I am also creating videos from home for the Frye Art Museum's Creative Aging Program until the hands-on workshops for adults living with dementia and their caregivers can resume.

I take great pleasure in supporting my black and brown creative sisters by passing on two wonderful Artisans to you here. If you want to look and feel great, check out these Instagram businesses where you can purchase hand made jewelry and body care products. Artists and organizations I have been able to support by donating 20% of my sales through ARTIST SUPPORT PLEDGE and joining larger fundraising efforts include:  Methow Valley Conservancy, Confluence Gallery, Marracci Designs, Emily Post Pottery, Choose 180, Black Lives Matters, Village of Hope, Central District Forum for Arts and Ideas, Partnership for Civil Justice Fund

ARTIST SUPPORT PLEDGE is a culture and economy in support of artists established by artist Matthew Burrows in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is a global movement of connected communities committed to an equitable and sustainable economy for artists of all countries and ethnicities.

Artists use Instagram to post their images for sale for no more than $200.00. Anyone can buy the work and artists don’t need permission to join. It is an Artist-driven economy.

Every time an artist reaches $1,000 of sales, they pledge to buy $200.00 of work from other artist(s) or make donations to other concerns.

Thanks to the many collectors that have stepped forward to support my participation in this pledge, I have been able to in turn support several other local artists as well as non-profits engaging in social justice, art engagement, and conservation efforts.

We really are stronger together.
